It was a big game for RCB because they were one win away from elimination from the tournament. Captain Faf Du Plessis of RCB won the crucial toss and decided to bat first, and they proved that this was the right move as they scored 61 runs in just one wicket loss in the powerplay. From SRH’s perspective, this was especially important because it was RCB’s captain who was sent to the dugout by T. Natrajan.

AFTER POWERPLAY

 

Following a brilliant start, RCB lost their second wicket in the first over following the powerplay when Mayank Markande boldly struck W. Jacks in the seventh over, scoring just six runs in nine deliveries. However, Rajat Patidar then entered the field and partnered with Virat Kohli to score 65 runs in just 34 balls, scoring his half century in just 20 balls in between. However, he was dismissed shortly after reaching his third half century of the tournament. Virat Kohli then reached his 37 balls half century and was dismissed in the 15th over, but not before scoring a crucial 51 runs in 43 balls. However, only Cameroon Green performed well after he was removed from the game. It was only thanks to him that the RCB was able to take advantage of their crucial slog overs. Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Kartik, and Swapnil Singh could only muster seven, six, and twelve runs apiece after the first innings ended, but despite losing seven wickets, the team managed to post 206 runs after the first innings. and they set SRH a target of 207 runs.

SECOND INNINGS

 

POWERPLAY

 

Prior to the start of the second innings, it appeared that the target would be too small for the SRH batsmen, who had been in excellent form this season. However, RCB took a surprising turn of events when they dismissed Travis Head in the opening over of the innings, and he was dismissed by W. Jacks for just one run in three balls. However, they went on to take three more significant wickets in the powerplay alone, as A. Sharma (31), A. Markram (7 (8), and H. Klaasen (3) were dismissed very quickly. Following another excellent start for RCB with the ball, they took two more wickets as Nitish. K. Reddy struggled to score 13 runs in 13 balls, and A. Samad only managed to score 10 runs in 6 balls. Meanwhile, S. Ahmed managed the SRH innings, eventually striking up a small partnership of 39 with his Captain Pat Cummins. However, in the 14th over, Cameroon Green dismissed Pat Cummins, scoring 31 runs in just 15 balls. Despite this, SRH was unable to gain any ground in this match as Jaydev Unadkat and Bhuvneshwar Kumar both struggled, scoring 13(13), 8(10), and only managing to score 171 runs in their 20 overs with 8 wickets lost and in the end, it’s clear that RCB defeated all odds to win the game.
