Maharashtra Election Results 2024

Maharashtra Election Results 2024 : Live Updates INDIA leads in 29 constituencies, while the BJP has 12; a close race in 6 seats.

Despite multiple exit polls predicting a decisive victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Mahayuti in Maharashtra, early vote tallies show the Maha Vikas Agadhi (MVA) leading in 29 of the state’s 48 Lok Sabha constituencies.

Exit polls forecast 22-35 seats for the Mahayuti in Maharashtra and 15-26 seats for the MVA. The scenario on June 4 seemed to be almost reversed.

As of 12 p.m. on June 4, vote count estimates placed the BJP, Congress, and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) parties on an even footing in Maharashtra, with each leading in 11 seats.

Overall, the INDI Alliance has won 29 seats: Congress has 11, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena has 10, and Sharad Pawar’s NCP has 8.

The NDA now leads with 18 seats, followed by the BJP with 11, Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde with 6, and Ajit Pawar’s NCP with 1.

In the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, battleground Maharashtra saw intense contests between the split Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party factions — Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (SHS UBT) and Shiv Sena Eknath Shinde faction (SHS), NCP Sharad Pawar faction (NCP SP), and NCP Ajit Pawar group.

The BJP ran in 28 seats, with its allies Shiv Sena (Shinde) in 14 and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP in five.

On the other hand, Maha Vikas Aghadi members saw Shiv Sena (UBT) compete in 21 constituencies, Congress in 17, and NCP (Sharad Pawar) in 10. Maharashtra’s Lok Sabha elections were held in five phases.
