KKR Vs PBKS: PBKS Chase The Highest Target : This match was a big run at first for both the teams and after setting the target of 262 runs KKR lost the match. PBKS chased the record 262 runs with eight balls left to go.
FIRST INNINGS

PBKS won the toss and invited KKR to bat first. They were in a different mood that day because Sunil Narine and Phil Salt gave a wonderful start with a run rate of 12.6runs per over in the powerplay all this because PBKS dropped three catches in the powerplay and that let KKR score 76 runs without losing any wickets.
AFTER POWERPLAY
In this match between PBKS vs KKR. After the powerplay, S. Narine and P. Salt continued their dominance and they also started capitalizing middle overs both playing very well and mostly at 200+ strike-rate, till the 11th over. Because in the 11th over R. Bishnoi struck and got S. Narine out on the score of 72 and he made these runs in just 32 balls with the strike rate of 225. After Narine’s wicket, P.Salt continued playing his shots but he also got out after hitting two consecutive sixes in the 13th over by PBKS’s Captain S. Curran and he made 75 in just 37 balls at a strike-rate of 202.
Just after starting slog overs, A. Russel got out by Arshdeep in the 16th over and he made 24 runs in just 12 balls. But the other batsman kept their strike rate high and they maintained their run rate. In the 19th over KKR’s captain S.Iyer departed by Arshdeep and he made 28 runs in just 10 balls with the strike-rate of 280. After completion of their 20 overs, KKR made their highest score on Eden Gardens and it’s 261, as they set a 262 target for PBKS.

POWERPLAY
As PBKS knows they have to make history to chase this run rate and to do that they know they have to capitalize their first 6 overs. They exactly do that as Prabhsimran Singh scored his fifty in the fifth over in just 18 deliveries. Just after his fifty, he got run out in the 6th over and he scored 54 runs in just 20 balls with the strike-rate of 270. Punjab Kings lost their crucial wicket but he gave a blasting start to Punjab Kings as they were at 93 runs with the loss of 1 wicket in the powerplay. This was the highest score by PBKS in the powerplay.
AFTER POWERPLAY
After capitalizing on their powerplay they knew that they had to continue this hitting if they had to chase the target and they also started capitalizing their middle overs too. Jonny Bairstow was hitting effortless sixes and fours and he also completed his fifty in the 9th over with a fabulous six on extra cover. But in the 13th over S.Narine took R. Rossouw’s wicket on the score of 178.
Young Shashank Singh came in the place of R. Rossouw and both batters started smashing KKR’s bowler as they completed their 200 in just 15 overs. In the 16th over J. Bairstow completed his CENTURY in just 45 balls with a strike rate of 222.
Shashank was in a different mood and he smashed the ball in a more blistering way he also competed for his half-century in just 23. They both made the impossible thing possible that day in Eden Gardens. They created history aster chasing 262 in 18.4 overs and there were 8 balls also left to deliver. J.Bairstow and Shashank Singh were not out on 108 (48), and 68 (28) respectively. But what a night they both made for PBKS that day. The unbelievable thing happened there.
