KKR vs SRH Final: This is the final match of TATA IPL 2024 in which KKR will play against SRH. After two months, today the last match of this tournament is being played between the two best teams who have played pure season consistent cricket. But today is the day to decide which of the two teams is the best this year.
FIRST INNINGS
POWERPLAY
This time SRH decided to bat after winning the toss. But before his decision turned out to be a mistake, he was over because M. Starc dismissed A. Sharma on a wonderful out swinging delivery on the 5th ball and he left the pavilion after scoring 2 runs. After a good 1st over. KKR continued to put pressure and in the midst of that pressure, T. Head was caught out by a good delivery by V. Arora. He scored a duck on his first ball. Amidst the constant pressure, R. Tripathi and A. Markram who were still on the crease, both of them were searching for boundaries and chasing more runs for the team, but R. Tripathi also gou out while playing a big shot in M. Starc’over.
And he scored only 9 runs. After that the pressure started increasing so to remove the pressure A. Markram and N. Reddy started batting openly and they were successful in scoring a few boundaries. And at the end of the powerplay, SRH scored 40 runs for the loss of 3 important wickets.
AFTER POWERPLAY
After a bad start in the powerplay, SRH now needed a partnership but that could not because N. Reddy was caught out on the last ball of the 7th over by H. Rana. And he scored only 13 runs and was out in 10 balls. Even after a few more overs, KKR did not give much runs and the result was that in the 11th over, A. Markram, who was batting again, got caught out on the boundary after hitting a big shot. He could score only 20 runs. In the very next over i.e. in the 12th over, who had just come to the crease also got out by S.Ahmed. And that too could score only 8 runs.
As was happening in this match, this happened for the first time in the 13th over of main Impact sub A. Samad was also caught out. And like others, he too was out on low score. He scored only 4 runs. In 13th over Cummins opened few shots but on 14th over main drive was played but unfortunately H. Klaseen was bowled on the ball of H. Rana. After that, not much runs were scored in the next 2 overs and after 16 overs, SRH was able to score a total of 98 runs and had lost 8 wickets.
SLOG OVERS
After losing a lot of wickets in the middle overs, now SRH was just thinking that somehow she should play the entire overs. Just one over after the start of the slog overs i.e. in the 18th over, J. Unadkat was also LBW out. And that too could score only 4 runs. And with the wicket of P. Cummins in the 19th over, SRH also got the last wicket of its team. and SRH was all out for 113 runs. And now KKR had to score only 114 runs to win the final.
SECOND INNING
POWERPLAY
After performing well with the main ball in the first innings, KKR wanted to chase the target easily in the final. And it would have looked like this because before the overs, both S. Narine and R. Gurbaaz were still looking in foam. But 2nd over while playing big shot S. Narine caught out after hitting the top-edge. And P. Cummins gives the first wicket to SRH in the 2nd over. After that, SRH must have thought that now by putting pressure on the bowler, some more wickets should be taken. But everything got ruined because KKR’s batsmen V. Iyer and R. Gurbaaz both continued their attacking batting and in the powerplay, they eliminated SRH from the match because they scored more runs in the powerplay than before. . After the powerplay, KKR’s score was 72 runs at the loss of just one wicket.
AFTER POWERPLAY
In the powerplay, KKR’s batsmen turned the match one-sided and both the batsmen continued to hit good shots even after the powerplay. In the same middle, R. Gurbaaz got out LBW to S. Ahmed┬а ┬аin the 9th over and he would send his team out of the match in a difficult situation. He scored 39 runs in just 32 balls.
After that, KKR captain S. Iyer comes to the crease and he hits a four on the first ball and shows that he has to finish this match quickly. After that V. Iyer completed his half-century with a single in the 10th over in just 24 balls. And the match ended on the 3rd ball of the 11th over and KKR is dominating the final and taking the title of TATA IPL 2024 with 52 balls remaining from 8 wickets.
