Election Results 2024 Real-time Updates: Will the BJP win? Not likely to reach the halfway point.

Election Results 2024 Live Updates: As counting began across 542 seats on June 4, the BJP-led NDA was leading in roughly 300 seats, but the INDIA bloc’s advantage exceeded 227 seats, confounding all exit poll projections.

At eight in the morning, the Lok Sabha Elections of 2024 vote counting started. All eyes will be on whether the exit poll predictions come true and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wins an unprecedented third consecutive term in office.

To be in power at the center, a party or alliance must win at least 272 of the 543 Lok Sabha seats. Votes for 542 seats will be tallied today, with one seat, Surat, already settled in NDA’s kitty without opposition.

If the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by Narendra Modi, wins the Lok Sabha Elections in 2024, he will become the first prime minister since Jawaharlal Nehru to serve three consecutive terms.

What have exit surveys indicated up to this point?

While the majority of exit polls projected an easy win for the PM Modi-led NDA with over 350 seats. At least three significant exit polls—India Today-My Axis India, India TV-CNX, and News24-Todays Chanakya—predicted the ruling coalition with more than 400 seats in the general election.

Although the opposition’s INDIA group has dismissed the exit polls, the BJP is certain that it will easily become the majority and has even scheduled celebrations.

What was the result in 2014 & 2019?

In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, pollsters projected that the NDA will win about 285 seats. In actuality, the BJP won 303 of the 353 seats won by the NDA. Just 93 seats were secured by the opposition UPA, while the Congress secured 52 seats. The NDA’s predicted seat total in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections was between 257 and 340. But Narendra Modi became the first Prime Minister of India when the NDA secured 336 seats.
