CSK vs RCB : This match was very important for both the teams because according to the calculations of the points table, if RCB had to qualify for the playoffs, CSK had to lose by 18 runs. But the simple calculation for CSK was that if they win the match then they will qualify and if they also lose then it is by 17 or fewer runs.

 

FIRST INNINGS

It was not as good as it looked for CSK as they had won the toss but still had to win the rmatch and RCB’s opening batsmen FAF came to bat first. Du. Plessis and Virat Kohli gave an aggressive and strong start to the team. After the first inning, RCB had given CSK 218 to win but CSK was eyeing 201 runs. Because if they score 201 runs and even lose the match after that, they will still qualify for the playoffs.
But this was absolutely shocking because G.Maxwell dismissed the CSK captain with the first ball. He will be out on the first ball without scoring any runs. After our wicket, RCB had a slight advantage and after that one boundary was about to come.

So in the 3rd over, D. Mitchell tried to hit a big shot but Y. Dayal’s ball was caught by V. Kohli and got out. and D.Mitchell scored only 4 runs. After that, a partnership started forming between A. Rahane and R. Rachin and both of them also started hitting some boundaries. Because of him, CSK scored 57 runs in Powerplay at the loss of 2 important wickets.

 

AFTER POWERPLAY 

 

After the powerplay, both of them started hitting some shots together and also added some runs. On the 10th over, A.Rahane tried to hit a big shot on the ball of L.Ferguson. Du. Plessis got his catch. And he contributed 33 runs in 22 balls.
After our wicket, RCB bowlers continued bowling and gave very few chances to CSK to score runs. And pressure would have been created by scoring runs, but S. Dube’s bad call would have caused R. Ravindra to run out and go back to the pavilion. He scored 61 runs in 36 balls.

And due to constant pressure, S. Dube, who was struggling very hard to score runs, got caught out on the boundary line while attempting a shot in the 14th over.
