SRH’s batting lineup was looking very strong and their batting in this whole IPL season is strong so they are thinking of keeping their strategy clear as they will continue with attacking cricket. They also gave proof of this as A. Sharma is in the lead as he started playing big shots from the first over and SRH’s score was 13 runs in the first 5 balls. On the last ball of the 1st over, A. Sharma again looked to play a big shot and this time the ball hit the top-edge and went straight past the fielder and he was out. He scored only 12 runs in 5 balls. R. Tripathi comes to the crease after our wicket and from the 2nd over he starts playing his shots and looks good after hitting the ball well.

SECOND INNING
POWERPLAY
Initially it seemed that the target was a bit short and if SRH scored a few less runs, they would have to bowl better in the powerplay and RR would have to take wickets if they wanted to win the match. After that, in the first few overs, RR’s batsmen maintained their runrate and also kept playing big shots, but on the last ball of the 4th over, Tom Kohler-Cadmore got out in the process of scoring a big shot.
And he could score only 10 runs. SRH continued its good bowling till the 5th over and did not allow RR batsmen to play too many shots. In the 6th over, Y. Jaiswal hit a six and 3 fours off B. Kumar. With the help of our over, RR’s score in powerplay is 51 runs at the loss of 1 wicket.
AFTER POWERPLAY
Powerplay was main till now SRH did not allow RR’s batsmen to score runs and due to this, RR’s batsmen were under pressure due to which their run rate was very low. And the run rate was increasing and a big shot was played while playing the ball. Y. Jaiswal was caught out at longoff by S. Khan in the 8th over. And he scores 42 runs in 21 balls. A very big wicket falls in the next over as S. Samson gives his catch to the cow corner while playing a big shot and A. Sharma gets the first wicket. And S. Samson has managed to score 10 runs.

SLOG OVERS
After that, RR had to do only hitting and there was no other option left for them because they scored 63 runs in 24 balls. After that, D. Jurel started playing some shots and in this, R. Powell also took his catch on the boundary line and was out. He scored only 6 runs. After his wicket, in the 19th over, D. Jurel scored 2 consecutive fours and completed his fifty in just 26 balls.
There was one batsman who was found batting well in the entire batting line-up of RR. D. Despite Jurel’s first attempt, at the end of the 19th over it was certain that SRH would win the match because according to cricket calculations, they cannot score 42 runs in 6 balls under any circumstances. So what happens is SRH wins the match by 36 runs. And he gets the ticket from RR to play his slot IPL finals 2024.
POTM: S. Khan for his all-round performance. 3/23 (4), 18 (18).
